This goes for lots of mystery writers, but especially for Conan Doyle for some reason.  I love Sherlock Holmes...and I love his writing, but I can't re-read entire books or stories of Sherlock Holmes because there is always a point at which I remember how the mystery was solved, and .....so maybe it is more accurate to say a book that I have only been able to read all the way through only once.....

Tess of the Durbavilles. Boring, depressing book. Couldn't even be bothered watching the TV mini series as it annoyed me so much. And who calls their son "Angel"? AAgghh!

Also, Vanity Fair, although I have seen various mini series for it which I didn't mind. Actually, it wasn't the story so much as the book itself. Twas a paperback that you really needed to wreck to see the end of the lines and as I don't like to do that, I used to have a fight with the damned book just to keep it open.

There's probably more but I can't think of them at this hour.

Ah the joys of English literature!

Tess will be popping up later in this thing I imagine. That and Jude, both of them annoy me.

Vanity Fair- I can cope with the tv series, but the book is boring as anything.

Which reminds me, I have to do today's at some point....
